Friday was Graduation Day for the Class of 2019!
One thing that stood out for me was the Oath of Office! USMC Gen. Neller, made the USMC Candidates “state your name”, while USN Adm. Richardson did not! They also made the Midshipmen repeat back the oath, while in past years, they just had to listen to the oath, and at the end say “I DO!” …something was lost in the fact that the Marines couldn’t scream it out like they have in recent years past.
You knew it was going to be a different graduation when the announcer couldn’t say who in the first group of officials that were entering…it seems that page didn’t make it into the process book at the podium.
